Bursa was once a thriving commercial centre in Asia Minor. For centuries it was a leading centre for the production of rich gold embroideries and many of the finest Byzantine and post Byzantine silks were made there.

BURSA features rich gold and silver thread embroideries, embellished with thousands of tiny sequins.

We recommend a pure silk base fabric in a variety of colours, although lush velvets in burgundy or indigo are also popular with those who prefer an overall heavier set of vestments.

The set of vestments for deacon includes stiharion, orarion and cuffs.
